Meetings are offered throughout the state and will be offered in-person and virtually. Al interested parties are invited to attend. Childcare and Spanish translation services will be provided for each meeting, as well as food & beverage.

 The State of Colorado Department of Health Care Policy and Financing is committed to a stakeholder engagement process to solicit feedback from a broad base of interested parties and stakeholders for implementation of the doula benefit. All interested parties are invited to participate and provide input for the design and development of the program.


Doulas in Denver has been contracted with the State of Colorado to facilitate the meetings and solicit community engagement and outreach.

 Equity Principles: The following principles will guide the equity framework throughout the entire engagement process.

  1. Accessible to all and supporting representation 
  2. Inclusive language and cultural sensitivity
  3. Mutual respect and safe space
  4. Value individual perspective and knowledge 

Impartiality

Doulas in Denver understands the complexity and layers of concern surrounding impartiality and equity that are present around these topics. It is critical to the stakeholder engagement process to remain neutral and recognize the many voices and varying opinions. We stand on a commitment to impartiality and will ensure that our facilitations will be led by a third party to safeguard bias and uphold equity.
